About Twin Rivers Farm

Nestled in the scenic southern Berkshires of western Massachusetts, Twin Rivers Farm in Ashley Falls has been owned and operated by the Kilmer family since 1993.

What began as a 200-acre dairy farm with 100 milking cows, young stock, two homes, and a modest line of equipment has grown into a progressive, family-focused dairy operation rooted in hard work, innovation, and stewardship of the land.

Over the years, the farm has continued to evolve through herd expansion, modern facility improvements, and investments in dairy technology. In 2014, the operation officially became a partnership between father and sons, reflecting a shared commitment to carrying the farm forward for the next generation. Twin Rivers Farm installed two Lely A4 robotic milkers in 2015, added a new heifer barn and expanded feed storage in 2020, and in 2025 completed a new 60-cow free stall barn along with an additional robotic milker. An equipment storage barn is also planned for this year.

Every improvement at Twin Rivers Farm has been made with an eye toward sustainability, cow comfort, efficiency, and creating a strong future for generations to come.

In addition, representatives from the local, regional, and national level will share with us the new and ever-changing political and regulatory issues affecting the dairy industry and our farm families.
